You Came Back to Die With Your City

I feel electric this year. Three days back-to-back shooting street photography. Back in my zone. The engagement on my Flickr account is lighting up again.

You can have a great portfolio of photographs but if you’re not producing anything, you’re going to be replaced by mediocre work being published every day. It’s a constant fight to not be at the bottom of the trash can.

I started posting back on Instagram again. I really hate the app but it’s still the place everyone uses but it seems like everyone is getting ready to jump ship as soon as we know which app is going to be the next best thing.

I’m planning to post one or two photos everyday as well as trying to get more people to join my Telegram channel to be informed of my photos as soon as I post them on Flickr.

With the instagram algorithm all messed up and a very small percentage of people are seeing your work. The best way to fight back is to agressively post to get a better chance of your fans seeing your work. Once a day isn’t enough with the amount of other accounts your followers follow. I might have to post three times a day to get a chance to get 2-3 seconds of my work being shown on your screen.

Right now I feel like Bruce Wayne coming back after years of being perched up in Wayne Manors to getting out of retirement and be put into a pit with a vertebrae protuding from his back and having to climb out of it to go back to Gotham and fight Bane.

I know I sound crazy right now. But I’m proud of the work that I’ve made and people don’t know what it took to take these photos. But there’s still so much I need to capture. My skills and reactions are sharpening and tastes are everchanging. I don’t want to say my best work is yet to come, there’s no way to know what will happen. The photos will speak for themselves.
