Journaling All Caps
One thing that I’m trying to do whenever I journal or write is writing ALL CAPS.
When you are sharing your photographs publicly to an audience, you want to make it clear to your viewers what you are trying to show them. The subject is definable and they’re not thinking about what exactly they’re supposed to look at within the photo.
That same principle goes for writing. My writing courses I took probably told me this as well but I wasn’t paying much attention to the importance of writing clearly.
One part of my writing I’m trying to tweak is my legible handwriting. It’s not as bad as a doctor’s handwriting but when I go back to old journal entries from years ago to last month, I can read most of it but now that I forgot the context of what I wrote at the time, sometimes I can’t read my own handwriting.
What I just started consciously doing starting yesterday is trying to writing in ALL CAPS. Doing this I would be able to read earlier entries with less problems.
If I handwrite anything to friends or colleagues I will do the same so people don’t have to struggle with reading my handwriting.
