July 2nd
I’m doing my second 36-hour fast within the past four days. Trying to do a deep deep clean in the body and then I can reward myself with all the hot dogs and burgers this 4th of July weekend. The feeling of lightheadedness during these fasts is worse than the grumbling stomach. Do your own research on the benefits of 20-hour and 36-hour fasting and you’ll see that starving yourself intentionally is a very very small price to pay.
During these times you have to find something to take your mind off the intermittent fasting. Street photography during a long fast is the absolute best. You’re completely locked in getting your photos and you’re melting fat at the same time.
A Little Life by Hanya Yanigihara
Went from page 36 yesterday in A Little Life and now on page 77. This 800-page book is about four guys in their early-20’s living in New York City near broke working to pay the rent and eat decently while in their free time trying to be independent artists. Right now, there’s no real plot. It’s just a really beautiful portrait of these four friends and their relationship with one another and with NYC. Then it does go a little bit into their upbringing, their relationship with their family and its influence on their current day-to-day experience.
Nothing else happened. Ran several errands today and did the laundry watched China Moon (1994) which takes place in Miami, FL lol.
So glad to have watched F1 two days ago cause several posts on my X feed is spoiling all the cool scenes from the film. Another good reason to watch this film at the theaters is since this film is an Apple Original Films production, they don’t make Blu-rays and the only way to watch it after the theatrical release is by having an Apple TV subscription.
Toodles.
