Ken Carson: Fighting My Demons

Once you listen to Playboi Carti it kind of leads you to other artists on the 0pium label such as Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson. I listened to both of their more recent albums. I love the raspy voice of Destroy Lonely but it doesn’t have the dark vibe that Ken Carson does.

I re-downloaded Carson’s deluxe version of A Great Chaos. It starts off with a banger already Green Room produced by F1LTHY.

The second track Jennifer’s Body I’ve been skipping even though that’s one of the popular songs on the track.

The third song Fighting My Demons I love the last third.

In a cultural context, “fighting our demons” we tend to think about fighting depression which is a common theme in the music of other rappers.

I thought about it differently cause I feel great in my life right now compared to a couple years ago where I was always depressed. But the demons that I’m struggling right now is laziness. Sometimes I feel too comfortable with life and don’t want to go out to shoot.
