You Would’ve Done It Already
Sometimes I feel like I lack that entrepreneurial spirit. If you had it it would have shown early in your childhood. Those kids you see selling lemonade in the afternoon or the weekend they have it. Or the kids offering to mow the lawn or shovel snow for $20+ they have it. Do you need that kind of life experience in order to do something like that in adulthood. Can you start your own business late in life. I’m kind of trying to ween off of working for the company that I work at in order to pursue my own freelance thing. I have all the equipment to do everything but just don’t know how to do the business and marketing part. I’m going to be doing a 1-on-1 call with someone to give me some pointers on how to be self-employed. I’m tired of running around for a company.
I think it is possible to start whatever in life. I thought in order to become a photographer, you had to have it in you from the very beginning. That you had to take pictures already when you were a kid. But I had little interest in photography my whole life. I started photography very very late in my life but you can learn years of experience in a couple of months with youtube and constantly uploading onto the internet to get immediate feedback.
I have doubts if being self-employed is realistic cause if it was, I would’ve done it already. I kept saying that I needed this and that equipment before I could launch my little business. But there’s people with little photography knowledge and have an apsc-sensor’d camera with a kit lens but having actual clients that are actually paying a couple hundred bucks. If you have confidence, clients can feel that and don’t care about if you have the right equipment. Me, I need the right equipment before I can say I’m available or else I feel like I’m scamming someone.
I need to start making moves soon…
